U/16's and U/14's in Junior GRAND finals - Bring it on!!!

Grand Finals will greet two on the the Box Hill Junior cricket sides with the U/16b's and the U/14c's. Let's support them as best we can and get down to watch, even if for a short time.

Under 14C's

Box Hill 10/174 defeated Mont Albert 10/69.

It was a wonderful performance from a group of kids that really played as a team. We were in trouble at 3/30 (McElroy and Hook gone for 5 between them and Collopy back in the shed) and then 4/60 after 19 overs when Jack Alderton went for a duck.  These 4 players made 120 between them last week! Wickets down and plenty of overs to bat. Smart/O’loughlin 30, O’Loughlin/Magee 45, Douglas/Snibson 60 – 7/165 when Douglas got out in the 37^th over. Each of these boys took a step up yesterday, heads down, cricket shots, composure and played for the team. O’Loughlin topped it off with 3/7, Smart took 3 catches and Magee and Douglas 1 fa each bowling lovely outies.

The bowling and fielding performances from all boys was excellent. They were really on their game and deserved their reward.

Under 16B's Match Report to follow soon, but in summary Box Hill made 185 and rolled the previously undefeated Bulleen for 52. A super effort.
