Paid Volunteer positions available

The Australian government has recently introduced a paid volunteer scheme for not-for-profit organisations and Box Hill Cricket Club has qualified to receive this funding. https://www.servicesaustralia.gov.au/providing-voluntary-work-opportunities?context=21

 

Box Hill Cricket Club fields teams in Cricket Victoria’s elite women’s competition namely Women’s Premier Cricket, the Victorian Men’s Sub District Cricket Association and various boys’ and girls’ junior teams. Our home ground is located at City Oval, Whitehorse Road, Box Hill and is shared with the Box Hill Hawks Football Club.

 

Box Hill Cricket Club is seeking people to fill several paid volunteer positions. These positions include but are not restricted to:

  1. Administration officer
  2. Ground Manager, scorers, and other game day jobs
  3. Sponsorship /Fundraising coordinator
  4. Membership and community engagement officer

Each position would involve approximately 15 to 20 hours per week over a 30-week cricket session.

 

To qualify for this $14,200 pa role paid by the government, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Not currently working
  • Aged between 55 and 67
  • Currently not claiming a pension, whether that be aged, disability or a super pension

Note superannuation can be in the accumulation phase.
